Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide infusion and chemotherapy care to adults and geriatrics.
• Monitor patient status, manage ports, and administer IV chemotherapy safely.
• Identify and manage chemotherapy-related side effects.
• Coordinate care and educate patients and families.
• Document care in Epic charting system.

Description:Registered Nurse needed for the Infusion/Chemotherapy department.The department is experiencing growth and expansion.Candidates must have a valid RN license and must be BLS and ACLS certified.ONS/ONCC certification is also required.Candidates should possess experience managing and accessing ports.Skills in monitoring chemotherapy and managing side effects are essential.Experience in care coordination and patient/family education is preferred.The unit provides care primarily to adults and geriatrics.There are 4 infusion chairs, with two patients per room.Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy.Candidates must be familiar with the charting system and have experience with Epic.Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to recognize and manage complications.This position requires proficiency in intravenous medication administration and patient monitoring.
