Job summary

One GI® is seeking a dedicated Infusion RN at our Englewood, OH location to provide infusion therapy and hand-on patient care. The role requires strong communication, collaboration with the care team, and a commitment to delivering exceptional gastroenterology nursing support.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with infusion experience and ACLS certification, willing to travel to Beavercreek for coverage. Join a team dedicated to patient outcomes and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license with infusion therapy experience.
• ACLS certification required.
• Willingness to travel to Englewood, OH and Beavercreek locations.
• Strong communication and teamwork for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Place IVs.
• Administer IV medications and fluids as ordered.
• Monitor patients’ IV medications and tubing.
• Give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as ordered.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Monitor patients during infusion and discharge per policy.
• Provide patient education and instruction.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and chart entries.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and assist with crash cart as needed.

Snapshot Of Daily Duties

• Infusion RN will place IV’s.


• Administer IV medication, and fluids as ordered.


• Monitor patients’ IV medications and tubing.


• Give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as ordered.


• Perform phlebotomy as needed, or as prescribed/ordered.


• Monitor patients during infusion and discharge patients as policies indicate.


• Provide patient education and instruction.


• Communicate with patients as applicable.


• Maintain patient centered data in a neat and organized manner including chart entries, documentation, or communications to be sent externally.


• Comply with adverse event reporting and patient privacy policies.


• Maintain accurate and complete records, documenting all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient response.


• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations requiring immediate medical intervention. Initiates emergency measures as needed. Assist with maintenance of crash cart.

Education And Qualifications

• Registered nurse. Membership in local, state, and national societies is encouraged.


• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification required.


• Solid nursing background, concentration, or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty.


• Priority setting, application of judgment, communication skill and tact.


• Occasional travel to the Beavercreek location
