Job summary

One GI is seeking an Infusion RN to join our Englewood, OH team. The role focuses on infusion therapy, IV placement, and patient care in a fast-paced gastroenterology setting.

The ideal candidate has an active RN license, ACLS certification, and strong communication skills, with willingness to travel to Beavercreek as needed. We offer growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required or equivalent.
• Experience with infusion therapy preferred.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Willingness to travel to Beavercreek location.

Responsibilities

• Place IVs and administer IV medications and fluids as ordered.
• Monitor infusion patients and IV tubing; adjust as needed.
• Administer IM and SUBQ injections per orders.
• Perform phlebotomy when required; document patient data.
• Monitor patients during infusion and discharge per policy.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions; ensure privacy and chart accuracy.

Snapshot of Daily Duties

• Infusion RN will place IV’s.
• Administer IV medication, and fluids as ordered.
• Monitor patients’ IV medications and tubing.
• Give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as ordered.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed, or as prescribed/ordered.
• Monitor patients during infusion and discharge patients as policies indicate.
• Provide patient education and instruction.
• Communicate with patients as applicable.
• Maintain patient centered data in a neat and organized manner including chart entries, documentation, or communications to be sent externally.
• Comply with adverse event reporting and patient privacy policies.
• Maintain accurate and complete records, documenting all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient response.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations requiring immediate medical intervention. Initiates emergency measures as needed. Assist with maintenance of crash cart.

Education and Qualifications

• Registered nurse. Membership in local, state, and national societies is encouraged.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification required.
• Solid nursing background, concentration, or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty.
• Priority setting, application of judgment, communication skill and tact.
• Occasional travel to the Beavercreek location
