Job summary

The Alaska VA Healthcare System is recruiting for one RN to perform duties within the Health Informatics department and serve as a clinical liaison between staff across the organization and the electronic health record (EHR). This Nurse will apply their clinical expertise to optimize workflows - support training and adoption - and ensure the EHR is used to deliver safe - efficient - and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by a recognized accrediting agency.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration in a US state or territory.
• Licensure eligibility for state nursing board upon bridge program or graduation.

Responsibilities

• Exercises leadership in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of hardware and software integrated with the EHR.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and program leaders nationwide.
• Directs education, orientation, competencies and quality-improvement activities.
• Supports training and adoption of the EHR to improve patient care outcomes.
