Job summary

Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford, CT is seeking an Infection Control/Wound Nurse to deliver expert wound care and lead infection prevention across our post-acute care setting.

You will assess wounds, implement evidence-based treatments, document progress, train staff, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and enforce infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Current CT RN licensure required.
• Minimum 2 years of infection control/wound care experience; new grads welcome.
• Knowledge of wound care and infection prevention principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wound assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex wounds
• Implement evidence-based wound care treatments to promote healing and prevent complications
• Develop and maintain accurate records of wound care interventions and patient progress
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address infection control issues
• Provide education and training to staff on infection control and wound care best practices
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve wound care and infection control outcomes
• Contribute to the development and implementation of infection control policies and procedures
