Job Overview

This job is typically an 8-week assignment. Acts as a leader in patient care, utilizing the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity; and supports the department’s strategic goals. Demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for own practice.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Registered nurse diploma.
• Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.

Work Experience

• Required: 1 year of experience as a registered nurse.

Certifications

• Required: Current RN license in state of practice.
• Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency with computers and web-based applications.
• Good judgment and interpersonal skills.
