Job Overview

This job is typically 8 weeks in length. Acts as a leader in patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity; maintains involvement in activities aligned with unit and department goals; demonstrates professional responsibility, accountability, and supports the company's nursing philosophy.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Required - Registered nurse diploma; Preferred - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Work Experience: Required - 1 year of experience as a registered nurse.
  • Certifications: Required - Current RN license in state of practice; BLS from American Heart Association; Preferred - Certification in clinical specialty area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and web-based applications.
  • Good judgment and strong interpersonal skills.
