Job summary

UCLA Outpatient Clinics is seeking a clinical nurse to provide direct nursing care at the Evaluation and Treatment Center (ETC). Under supervision, you will perform triage, administer IV medications, immunizations, and offer patient education and psychosocial support.

You will also serve as a resource to licensed and unlicensed staff and assume charge nurse duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays while applying leadership and communication concepts in patient care.

Under direct supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Nurse Supervisor, the clinical nurse assumes primary responsibilities that encompass direct nursing care of patients at the Evaluation and Treatment Center (ETC).

Key duties include:

• Patient triage assessment, and evaluation across both adult and pediatric populations.
• Preparation and administration of intravenous drugs and fluids, immunizations, providing patient education and psychosocial support.
• Act as a resource to both licensed and unlicensed staff members.
• Assumes the charge nurse role during nonstandard business hours including evenings, weekend, and holiday hours.
• Utilize the nursing process development and application of leadership, management, and communication concepts; teaching of patients and staff; maintenance of professional standards.

Salary Range: $65.76 - $97.76/hourly
