Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Minimum two years nursing experience in a healthcare environment.
• Texas RN licensure & PSv Compact; must obtain permanent license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency).
• Current BLS & ACLS; NRP & FHMC or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit and shared governance activities; act as charge nurse as needed.
• Coach and mentor department staff in clinical/professional practice.
• Coordinate unit and hospital education in partnership with management.
• Ensure plan of care and discharge planning in collaboration with patient and care team.
