Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
• RN licensure in Texas with PSV Compact; BLS, ACLS, NRP and FHMC certifications within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, and maintains medical records.
• Communicates with patients, physicians and interprofessional team to coordinate care.
• Provides patient education and discharge planning; acts as patient advocate on safety and ethical concerns.
