Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section
• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
• RN with Texas state licensure and must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing Texas residency
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) required within 4 months

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducts nursing assessments and assists with exams and treatment
• Maintains medical records and patient education; collaborates with physicians and interprofessional care team to coordinate care
• Leads unit activities and may serve as charge nurse or preceptor, contributing to system-wide initiatives
