Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a registered nurse licensed in Maryland to provide independent care for unit-specific patient populations. The role requires a BSN degree (preferred) and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with current CPR and ongoing mandatory training.

The nurse will act as a clinical resource, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in Relationship-Based Care initiatives, NSQI data collection, and quality-improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• MD RN license is required or eligible via Compact licensure.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• 10 contact hours of education every two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent care to unit-specific patient population.
• Serve as a clinical resource for others and integrate evidence into practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient care addressing patient/family needs.
• Assist in team development and evaluation of the Relationship-Based Care model; suggest improvements.
• Participate in data collection related to NSQI outcomes (e.g., handoffs, medication safety).
• Participate in implementation efforts addressing Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
