Job summary

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Louisiana seeks an RN to join the Medicine Unit, providing comprehensive nursing care and coordinating with the care team. The role supports patient recovery and requires licensure in Louisiana (or NLC/eNLC states), with shift hours determined by the Department Manager.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required before appointment (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provides initial assessment and ongoing reassessment of patient.
• Provide direct patient care in accordance with the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
• Communicate and coordinate patient care with the Charge Nurse, oncoming nurse, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Implement patient care, treatments, and provide medications as prescribed by the doctor's order.
• Participate in staff development in-services and quality improvement activities.
• Attend unit meetings, orientation of new RN or subordinate staff, and accept delegated Charge Nurse duties.
