Job summary

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Louisiana is seeking an RN 1–2 in the Medicine Unit. The position supports treatment and recovery, with shifts determined by the Department Manager, and requires active RN licensure (state or NLC/eNLC).

The role includes base pay at special entrance rate for RN 2 with hourly premiums for shift, weekends, holidays and certifications; BLS/ACLS/PALS are required before appointment.

Qualifications

• Must hold Louisiana RN license or temporary permit or NLC/eNLC multi-state license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with RN scope of practice.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and discharge planning.
• Coordinate care with Charge Nurse, oncoming nurse and interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient response.
• Participate in staff development, unit meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain departmental coverage and perform other duties as assigned.
