Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU Stepdown contract in Rochester, NY. Start 09/28/2026 for 17 weeks. Onsite assignment with 36 or 48 hours per week, including rotating day/evening/night shifts, weekends, and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities include neuro checks, drainage management, and collaboration with neurosurgery on complex brain and spine cases. NY RN license and NIHSS are required; BLS required, ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have stepdown/PCU experience.
• BLS certification required.
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience is required.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• NIHSS is required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care in a neuro ICU step-down unit.
• Perform neuro checks and manage drains and arterial lines.
• Rotate shifts (D/E/N), weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
• Collaborate with neurosurgery team for patient management.

Patient Care: Brain tumors, spinal disorders, neuroendovascular & epilepsy surgery

• Hours: 36 or 48 hrs/week

• Unit: Mixed-acuity neurosurgical unit with 8-bed high-acuity step-down

• Patient Care: Brain tumors, spinal disorders, neuroendovascular & epilepsy surgery

• Skills: Q1 neuro checks, EVD/lumbar/subdural drains, 3% NS, Cardene, A-lines

• Procedures: Carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clipping, DBS, VP shunts & seizure management
