Job summary

Mercy Hospital – W Memorial Rd seeks an experienced registered nurse for a part-time night shift in the ICU Step Down unit. The role focuses on caring for high-acuity neurological, medical, and surgical patients transitioning from intensive care, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualified candidates will hold an accredited nursing degree, be eligible for RN licensure in the state, and have Basic Life Support certification. BSN is preferred, but ADN is acceptable.

Overview:

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
