Job summary

Mercy Hospital – W Memorial Rd in Guthrie, OK is seeking a compassionate RN to join the ICU Step Down unit. This high-energy 32-bed unit supports patients transitioning from the ICU and those needing higher levels of care, including neurological, medical, and surgical cases as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.

The role is part-time nights (24 hours per week). You will provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced environment, uphold Mercy’s mission of compassionate care, and collaborate

Qualifications

• RN nursing degree is required.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable as alternative.
• Licensure: active RN license in state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by American Heart Association.

Overview:

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
