Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Manager of RN for the ICU/SDU in Long Beach, CA. This first-line management role oversees 24-hour care coordination for patients and families within the Medical ICU/Step-Down Unit.

The incumbent directs staff, plans services, and ensures high-quality, cost-effective patient care while maintaining budget and resources. A BSN is required with MSN preferred; CA RN license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license is required.
• BSN required, MSN preferred; masters in related field may be considered.
• BSN equivalency process may be required for eligibility.
• MSN may remove BSN requirement.
• Three years of active nursing practice in a similar clinical area are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care 24/7 for assigned unit(s) and patients.
• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate staff and activities.
• Maintain fiscal responsibility and manage budgeted resources.
• Schedule and coordinate daily, weekly and monthly operations.
