Position Summary

Provides quality care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Acts as a patient advocate, supervises nursing care, develops care plans, and participates in discharge planning. Applies critical thinking to promote positive outcomes and ensures patient education.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain nursing standards and adhere to hospital policies.
2. Assess patients upon admission and develop/update care plans.
3. Manage restraints and ensure proper patient positioning.
4. Document assessments, care plans, and pertinent information accurately.
5. Use biomedical equipment safely and effectively.
6. Administer medications and recognize/respond to patient condition changes.
7. Coordinate care with physicians and other disciplines.
8. Participate in emergency procedures when necessary.
9. Assist with procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, arterial line placement, and bronchoscopy.
10. Participate in orientation, performance evaluations, and team support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN licensure, BCLS, and ACLS certification.
• Minimum one year of critical care experience.
