Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a Float Pool spanning multiple campuses in Arizona. The role focuses on comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and timely medication administration within a multidisciplinary team. You will lead evidence-based nursing care and mentor new staff.

The position requires at least 1 year of RN experience in float settings, 2 years ICU, and an AZ- or compact-state RN license with BLS. Full-time daytime schedule, 72 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• 1 year RN experience for float positions required.
• Min 2 years of experience in ICU required.
• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required.
• All Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire OR have 5 or more years of RN experience at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona or compact state required upon hire.
• National certification for unit specific patient population preferred.
• Other >10 months med-surg or acute specialty setting required.
• Full-Time, Days, 72hrs pp.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect health data systematically.
• Analyze assessment data and develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, emergency and resuscitative measures.
• Monitor patients and document observations, interventions, therapeutic measures, and multi-system data.
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare clinicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, diet, exercise, medications, and therapy.
• Direct licensed practical nurses and nursing aides and delegate patient-care tasks.
• Precept new-hire staff and students and support competency development.
• Apply evidence-based practice, research, safety, effectiveness, and cost considerations to improve nursing care and patient outcomes.
