Position Summary:

1. Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
2. Documents patient care provided.
3. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
4. Assists patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
5. Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
6. Evaluates learning needs of patients and families, providing appropriate education.
7. Acts as an advocate for the patient's physical and emotional well-being.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
2. Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, handle stress, and take appropriate action.
3. Certifications: Current BLS; within 90 days, obtain ACLS; within 6 months, obtain PALS/ENPC. New grads must have BLS at hire and obtain ACLS and PALS/ENPC within 6 months.
4. Licenses: Current NM RN license or appropriate compact license.
