Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking an RN for inpatient ICU at CFMH in Rocky Mount, VA. The role covers evening/night shifts with rotating weekends/holidays, offering $20K sign-on for experienced RNs and $10K for new grads.

You will provide professional nursing care, coordinate care across ages, and support a patient-centered approach in a high-acuity setting. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective outcomes, document care in EMR, and participate in performance improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Current RN license for Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by unit.
• Strong computer literacy and EMR documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient care across all ages in ICU.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Document age-appropriate assessments and care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdiscilinary teams.
• Administer treatments and medications; document in EMR.

This position is full time, working evening/night with rotating weekends and holidays.
The RN provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.

• Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.

What We Require:

Education:

Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Experience:

None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:

Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.

Life Support:

AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications:

Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records. For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Compensation Range:

$33.52 - $50.28

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
