Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurses (RN) play a pivotal role within Baylor Scott & White Round Rock Medical Center. The ICU cares for both ICU and Intermediate Care (IMC) patients on a 26-bed mixed acuity unit with 6 dedicated CVICU beds. Typical ratios are 1:1 for high acuity, 1:2 for general ICU, and 1:3 for IMC patients. Patients include MICU and CVICU cases. The ideal RN has at least one year of ICU experience, with two years preferred.

Baylor Scott & White Round Rock hospital is equipped with 101 beds, a Level II Trauma Center, and Level IV Maternal Designation. It offers comprehensive care across more than 40 specialties, has achieved Magnet recognition for nursing excellence, and is expanding with new units like NICU, Medical Surgical, Cath Lab, Pharmacy, and Laboratory.
