Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the ICU department at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. The position features 36-hour weeks with Evening/Night shifts and rotation on weekends and holidays.

Nurses provide comprehensive critical care and participate in family education in a supportive, community-focused setting. Eligibility includes Massachusetts RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, and vaccination or approved exemption.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Over three months up to and including one year experience is preferred.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) also required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or Designee.
• Participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership by working cooperatively with the nursing team to maintain professional standards.
• Provide care appropriate to the age group served within the assigned unit.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.

Hours: 36hrs

Shift: Evening/Night shift, 7:15pm - 7:15am with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or Designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patient regularly, served.
