Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU assignment in Dodge City, KS. This 13-week contract requires current NICU ICU skills with BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications and a minimum of two years of RN experience.

The unit handles 10 beds with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and 24/7 respiratory therapy support. Responsibilities include titrating drips (vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic meds) and charting in EPIC.

Description:Hiring process involves an interview by the clinical team.If selected, a job offer will be extended.Candidates must submit a valid driver's license.Clinicians are expected to be in state for the orientation week.Unit has a total of 10 beds.Nurse to patient ratio is 1:2.Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.Common diagnoses and types of patients include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, extremity pain, and insulin drips.Registered Nurses are required to titrate drips, including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, and metabolic medications.The charge nurse takes an assignment.There are no nurse aids on this unit.Clientists or intensivists are in-house.Respiratory therapists are available in the ICU 24/7.Available equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and vents.Tele-monitoring is available, and RNs are required to read their own strips.Tele monitors are managed by a tech who is on duty 24/7.Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed, but requests may not always be granted.Weekend shifts require a minimum of six shifts in a six-week schedule.Holiday requirements apply.Floating may be required to other acuity levels, including PCU/Stepdown and MS-Tele.Scrub color is navy blue.Additional orientation will be provided specific to the unit during the designated week.This role is for experienced ICU RNs.Cancellation policy allows for up to four shift cancellations per 13-week assignment.The charting system used is EPIC.A BSN is not required for this position.This role is within an acute care setting.
