Description:This position performs a variety of integrated pre and post-operative critical care functions.The nursing process is applied while utilizing a broad nursing knowledge in a caring manner.The registered nurse assesses patients for physical, emotional, psych/social, and family support.They organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care according to the patient’s real and/or perceived needs.The nurse evaluates patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge.They determine if goals are being met according to the patient’s plan of care or clinical path.Consultation and collaboration with members of the healthcare team are essential for planning and implementing total patient care for individuals.Three weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period are required.
