Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Endoscopy RN I to provide professional nursing care across all ages, coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team.

This full-time day shift role requires a state nursing license, BLS, and EMR documentation, with opportunities to contribute to patient outcomes and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on area.
• Keyboarding and computer literacy; EMR experience.
• Ability to safely manage disruptive patients in Behavioral Health roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient care for all ages and coordinate care delivery.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to optimize outcomes.
• Complete and document age-specific assessments to support care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interprofessional teams to adjust plans.
• Administer treatments and medications and document in EMR.

Education:

Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Experience:

None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:

Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.

Life Support:

AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications:

Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records. For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Compensation Range

$33.52 - $50.28

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
