Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years nursing experience; 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license (IL license if working in IL).
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains staffing plans for supervised departments.
• Manages daily unit operations and interdepartmental activities.
• Provides orientation and education to staff and students.
• Monitors staff performance and conducts annual appraisals; handles disciplinary actions.
• Leads interdisciplinary rounds, rounds to influence, and quality improvement activities.
