Overview
  • Night Shift
  • 12 hour shifts
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing required. Those enrolled in a BSN program with graduation expected within 18 months of hire may be considered.
  • Three or more years’ experience in nursing practice required.
  • One or more years’ experience in med/surg nursing preferred.
  • One or more years’ experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
  • One or more years’ experience in a supervisory or charge position preferred.
Purpose Statement

Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of nursing operations of the facility, ensuring adequate staffing and quality care. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to meet residents’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs. Ensures compliance with regulations and standards, prioritizing patient safety.

Responsibilities
  • Manage census and acuity changes, allocate resources accordingly.
  • Model excellent customer service and prioritize patient safety.
  • Enforce policies related to patient care.
  • Ensure proper staffing, including coverage for call-offs and vacations.
  • Complete chart checks, logs, assessments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct shift rounds and audits.
  • Assist in staff orientation, training, and mentoring.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and monitor patient care quality.
  • Coordinate patient care, including physician orders and diagnostics.
  • Document care and administer medications per policies.
  • Develop and update care plans based on patient needs.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Lead admissions, discharges, and communicate patient condition changes to physicians.
  • Utilize on-call resources for additional support.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed.
Qualifications
  • BSN from an accredited school preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of the facility required.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience preferred, including leadership roles.
  • Experience in psychiatric or recovery programs is a plus.
Licenses/Certifications

State-specific RN license, CPR, and de-escalation/restraint certifications required. First aid may be required based on state or facility policies.
