Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an RN House Operations Administrator (HOA) to lead clinical and operational activities during off-hours at our Highland Park location. You will ensure safe patient care, oversee staffing, and coordinate daily operations in a high-acuity environment.

The role requires a BSN, with a Master’s preferred, and active CPR/ACLS certifications. Minimum three years nursing experience with leadership is expected, along with strong communication and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

  • BSN required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) and ACLS Certification (or within 90 days of hire).
  • Minimum of three years of progressive nursing experience with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in critical care or high-acuity settings is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the highest-level clinical and operational leader on duty during the shift when senior leadership is not on site.
  • Oversee hospital-wide clinical operations, patient flow, staffing, safety, and emergency response.
  • Exercise independent judgment, interpret and enforce policies, direct staff and allocate resources for real-time decisions.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity and maintain situational awareness of capacity and acuity.

Position Highlights

  • Location: Highland Park, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full time 36 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday-Thursday 2300-0730, 1900-0730 on weekend: holiday rotation
  • Required Travel: no
What You Will Do
  • The RN House Operations Administrator (HOA) serves as the highest‑level clinical and operational leader on duty during their assigned shift when senior leadership is not on site.
  • HOA provides hospital‑wide oversight of clinical operations, patient flow, staffing, safety, and emergency response.
  • Acting in the interest of the organization, the HOA exercises independent judgment and has the authority to interpret and enforce policies, provides direction to team members, direct clinical and operational activity, resolve complex issues, allocate resources, and make real-time decisions necessary to ensure continuity of safe, high‑quality patient care across all units.
  • The role functions as the central decision‑maker for real‑time operations, support frontline staff, coordinating interdepartmental activity, and maintaining situational awareness of capacity, acuity, and resource needs.
What You Will Need
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Certification
  • Current CPR Certification (issued by American Heart Association).
  • Current ACLS Certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
Experience
  • Minimum of three years of progressive nursing experience, with at least two years in a formal or informal leadership role (e.g., Charge Nurse, Team Lead, Supervisor).
  • Experience in a critical care or high‑acuity setting is highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in direct supervision and staff development.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective conflict resolution and team collaboration
