The American Geriatrics Society is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join as a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Evanston, IL. This role provides expert clinical guidance, leads staff development, and ensures regulatory compliance to enhance patient care outcomes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required Or
- Masters Degree Nursing Preferred
- 5+ Years of clinical nursing experience required - current inpatient medical /surgical, critical care strongly preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license. Required
- BLS (AHA ) and ACLS required
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical expert guiding nursing staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and improve patient care protocols and practices.
- Conduct educational sessions and in-service training for nursing staff to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Mentor and coach nurses to promote professional growth and excellence in patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data analysis, and the development of evidence-based care protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Provide guidance on compliance issues and assist in regulatory audits and inspections.
- Advocate for the highest quality of care for patients and families.
- Address patient and family concerns and assist in resolving any issues related to care.
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in nursing practice.
- Assist in the implementation of evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of education sessions, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance efforts.
- Generate reports and data analysis to track progress and outcomes.

Location: Evanston, IL
Part Time: 40 hours per week
Hours: Monday-Friday 1900-0730 and 1500-2330, rotating weekends every other and holidays
