Empath Health is seeking an RN for PRN night shifts (8:00 PM–8:30 AM) in Port Charlotte, FL. The role covers hospice houses in Village on the Isle, Venice, Port Charlotte and Arcadia, with a minimum commitment of 64 hours per month.

You will report to the Care Center Manager and may float as needed to support patient care. The ideal candidate holds a Florida RN license, has bedside/inpatient experience, and is capable of coordinating patient/family needs while supervising care team members in a

• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent; Florida RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of current nursing experience; terminally ill care preferred.
• Bedside hospital/ICU/ER or inpatient experience within the past 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate patient/family needs; provide preventive and supportive care for terminally ill patients.
• Utilize assessment, intervention and teaching to maximize comfort and quality of life.
• Provide oversight and supervision of LPNs and/or aides for care delivery in the GIP environment.
