Job summary

Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights is seeking an experienced RN for the Endoscopy unit to provide high-quality pre/intra/post procedural care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, working closely with physicians and the care team.

You will perform nursing assessments, coordinate discharge planning, participate in phone triage, administer treatments, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) required.
• One year of recent RN experience or two years of LPN in the same procedural department.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services.
• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, and document findings.
• Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
• Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
• Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
• Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician or LIP.
• Educate patients and families.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned to ensure efficient operations.

About This Role

As an RN in the Endoscopy unit at Cleveland Clinic’s South Pointe Hospital, you will provide exceptional pre/intra/post procedural care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. What You’ll Do

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services.

Requirements

Education:

• One year of recent experience as an RN OR licensed RN with at least two years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire
