Job summary

Harborview Medical Center's Edward Thomas House Medical Respite in Seattle is hiring a part-time RN (80% FTE) for the Medical Respite Program. Schedule: M–Th, 8:00–4:30. Screen and triage referrals, coordinate transfers, and provide direct nursing care within the clinic setting.

Requirements: WA RN license, minimum 2 years of nursing experience including wound care and PICC line management, plus 1 year working with homeless or safety-net populations. UW Medicine benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (including wound care, PICC line management, and case management)
• At least 1 year of experience working with homeless and/or safety-net populations

Responsibilities

• Screen and triage referrals from King County hospitals for Medical Respite admission
• Coordinate with referring facilities and Respite staff to complete referral documentation
• Determine patient eligibility for admission
• Facilitate and coordinate patient transfers to the Respite program
• Provide direct nursing care within the clinic setting as needed
• Perform wound care and PICC line management
• Support case management activities in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
