Job description

Maxim Healthcare in Pensacola, FL is recruiting for Registered Nurses to work with Adult and Pediatric patients in their own homes in the Baton Rouge area.

Experience with G-Tube, Tracheostomy, and Ventilators in a 1:1 setting is strongly preferred.

We are looking to expand our territory and need nurses with availability to pursue additional referrals. Once we identify nurses with competent skill sets and full-time availability, we can seek out more referrals.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services provided to clients receiving contracted services, as required.
• Initiate the plan of care as directed and request revisions from the prescriber as patient needs change.
• Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and report to the physician or supervisor.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor and document effectiveness.
• Review care plans and protocols, identify education, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs.

Requirements:

• Current RN License for the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
