Maxim Healthcare is hiring in Milwaukie for a Registered Nurse to work with pediatric patients in their home. The schedule includes 7am - 5pm or 7am - 7pm on Monday, Tuesday, and either Friday or Saturday. The role involves taking the patient to school at least once a week. The patient is very active, requiring nurses to walk, run, and frequently get up and down from the ground.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services provided to clients receiving contracted services, as required.
• Initiate the plan of care when directed and request revisions from the prescriber as patient needs change.
• Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and report to the appropriate physician or supervisor.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor and document effectiveness.
• Review the care plan and protocols, and identify areas for education, care coordination, and discharge planning.

Requirements:

• Current RN license for the practicing state.
• Current health certificate (per facility or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
