Maxim Healthcare—based in Richmond, VA—seeks a Registered Nurse to provide in-home care for pediatric and/or adult patients. The role offers an hourly pay range of $42 to $47.50, with pay negotiated based on experience and skill.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering nursing care, initiating and adjusting plans, administering medications, and coordinating education and discharge planning. Requirements: active RN license in the state, current health certificate, PPD/X-ray, BLS, and 1

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state where practicing.

• Current BLS card.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate client care.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as patient needs change.
• Performs therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Intervenes in response to patient condition changes and reports to physician/supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, goal setting and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
