Job description

Maxim Healthcare in Des Moines, IA is hiring for a Registered Nurse to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their own homes.

Available shifts: Full-time, part-time, and PRN days and nights.

Pay: $38/hour

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to clients receiving contracted services, as required.
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests revisions from the prescriber as patient needs change.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and goals.
• Responds to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitors and documents their effectiveness.
• Reviews the care plan and protocols to identify areas for healthcare teaching, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning.

Requirements:

• Current RN license for the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
