Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide in-home pediatric care for contracted clients. The role offers full-time day shifts and an hourly rate of $38.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, administer medications as prescribed, and collaborate with prescribers and supervisors to adjust plans as needed. Requirements include an active RN license in the state, current health certificate, PPD or chest

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate as required by facility/state.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the home setting.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as patient needs change with prescriber input.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and monitors effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, discharge planning and care needs.
• Reports patient status changes to physician or supervisor.

Maxim Healthcare is hiring in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a Registered Nurse to work with Pediatric patients in their own homes.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
