Care Options for Kids in El Paso, TX seeks a licensed RN to supervise home health nursing staff, coordinate clinical services, and partner with the Director of Nursing to ensure high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes EMR accuracy, staff training, and on-call availability.

The successful candidate will have strong public health nursing experience, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach to delivering home health services.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse in good standing with relevant public health experience.
• Experience in home health care or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong customer-service orientation and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily supervision of nurses and home health aides to ensure quality of services within the plan of care.
• Initiates and reviews clinical content, diagnoses, medical history, medications from client records.
• Appraises staff performance and provides coaching to enhance service delivery and professional development.
• Identifies client needs and evaluates home care appropriateness by reviewing intake forms.
• Assists with orientation of new clinical staff to policies and procedures.
• Conducts client visits in the appropriate setting as needed.
• Initiates in-home supervisory visits of clinical staff as needed.
• Ability to handle on-call after work hours.
• Maintains confidentiality of records within scope of position.
• Participates in required functions in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
• Works with EMR to ensure charts are maintained and compliant.
• Understands clinical workflow related to EMR usage.
• Participates in problem-solving to meet EMR education needs and outcomes.
• Provides trainer sessions for peers and field staff to expand training expertise.
• Offers coaching to new staff to ensure EMR compliance and consistency.
• Conducts EMR chart audits.
• Prepares courses of study with objectives and lesson plans for training.
• Plans and supervises classroom training on best practices and relevant laws.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
