Job summary

The RN completes initial and periodic comprehensive assessments of clients, caregivers, and home environments for admission to and continued service from the Agency to determine needs, effectiveness of care provided, and achievement of anticipated outcomes.

Responsibilities include admissions, weekend on-call, comprehensive nursing care, physician-ordered treatments, monitoring and reporting changes, nutritional assessment, and patient/family education on medications and procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Minimum two years of acute-care experience with heart, lung, and physical assessments.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and human relations skills.
• Ability to function with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Ability to employ critical thinking skills.

• Performs treatment(s) requiring specialized skills ordered by the physician.
