Job summary

AdventHealth Hematology and Oncology at Minneola, FL is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive cancer care in a fast-paced setting. You will support patients and families, coordinate treatment plans, and ensure safety and quality throughout chemotherapy and related therapies.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and oncology experience; bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred. This is a day-shift, full-time position with benefits from day one.

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive resources and education to patients and family members on treatment and side effects.
• Teaches patients and families about treatment expectations and procedures.
• Completes necessary patient forms such as FMLA, disability, and letters of medical necessity.
• Assists benefits team in obtaining authorizations for chemotherapy and infusion-related treatments.
• Facilitates communication via voicemails, emails, texts and Microsoft Teams messages.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans for oncologic patient care.
• Triages and treats cancer-related issues and monitors chemotherapy administration.
• Inputs chemotherapy treatment orders and coordinates appointments with the infusion center.
• Monitors adherence to oral chemotherapy and other prescribed medications.
