Job summary

UC San Diego Health seeks a Transplant Program Manager for the Heart Transplant program in La Jolla. You will lead strategic operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive program growth from referrals through post-transplant care.

The role requires nursing leadership, 7+ years of clinical leadership, and strong collaboration with physicians and administrators. 100% effort, 8-hour days, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
• Current UCSD BART certification, or BLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transplant program growth and service expansion.
• Partner with medical, surgical, and administrative leaders to align program goals with organizational priorities.
• Maintain compliance with UNOS, CMS, HRSA, and other regulatory entities.
• Direct daily transplant operations across the care continuum and optimize workflows.
• Build and develop high-performing interdisciplinary teams and manage recruitment and performance.
