Olympic Medical Center is seeking a Heart Center Nurse in Sequim, WA. The role delivers diagnostic and invasive cardiology procedures within established protocols and supports clinical coordination for MDs during procedures.

Responsibilities include assessing patient acuity, coordinating inpatient orders, and participating in community education on heart health. Requires cardiology experience, WA RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Cardiology experience in a health care setting required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program preferred.
• Current Washington State Registered Nurse Licensure; BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and valid diagnostic and risk reduction invasive Cardiology procedures.
• Coordinate inpatient orders and MD presence in procedures; assist with staffing adjustments.
• Assess patient acuity and census; support Heart Center Supervisor and team.
• Participate in community education related to heart health.

He/she may also be responsible for selected non-clinical activities. He/she may be responsible for assisting with direction, and coordination of clinical functions of the department. The RN will assess patient acuity and census, providing assistance to Heart Center Supervisor. Notifies Heart Center Supervisor for the need to make adjustments in staffing based on perceived demand. Coordinates any inpatient order & coordination for MD’s presence in procedures; phone calls for diagnostic procedure from MD or office requesting a diagnostic procedure earlier then next available appointment. The Heart Center Nurse participates in community education.EDUCATIONGraduate of an accredited nursing program preferred.EXPERIENCECardiology experience in a health care setting required; e.g., pre-hospital, clinic/office, or hospital.LICENSURE/CREDENTIALSCurrent Washington State Registered Nurse Licensure.
