Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to join a Quality Improvement Consulting Company. The role involves supporting internal and external customers nationwide in a technically engaging environment.

Responsibilities of the RN Health Care Facility Surveyor:

The position is 100% remote with up to 75% travel. The Surveyor will participate as a team member or leader in various types of surveys (e.g., re-certification, complaint investigation, revisits) across long-term care and other healthcare facilities such as ambulatory surgical centers, ICFs/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospitals, critical access hospitals, and hospices. The role involves assessing compliance with federal regulations through on-site surveys, which include preparation, observation, record review, and staff/family interviews.

  • Conduct surveys to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Prepare for surveys through off-site research and facility tours.
  • Evaluate aspects of healthcare quality, patient rights, and facility conditions.
  • Communicate findings and deficiencies effectively to facility staff.
  • Assess and determine the acceptability of correction plans.
  • Perform follow-up and monitoring surveys.
  • Assist with training and participate in work groups as needed.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing the SMQT.
  • At least two years of recent surveyor experience in long-term care facilities.
  • Current RN licensure.
  • Strong decision-making and survey management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% regularly.

The salary range is $75,000 - $90,000 annually. Benefits include:
