Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital's Adult Medical Unit (AMU) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical care to geriatric and other adult patients. The RN will work under general supervision and contribute to care planning, documentation, and discharge preparation.

The AMU is a 33-bed unit focused on compassionate patient relationships, ongoing learning, and professional growth within Bronson Healthcare System.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred and must be obtained within 8 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for the state of Michigan.
• BLS certification required; Critical care or ALS may be required for some units.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care delivery for patients throughout the length of stay using the nursing process, coordinating care with other professionals, and documenting patient responses.
• Assess and analyze patient data to plan and implement individualized care using clinical pathways; coordinate discharge planning with the care team.
• Provide patient education, collaborate with the healthcare team, and uphold standards of professional nursing practice and patient advocacy.
