Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Texas State RN license required.
• Two years in acute care preferred.
• Active BLS on hire; ACLS/PALS/NRP and STABLE within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient, family and significant other health needs.
• Initiate and evaluate patient care plans; reassess ongoing needs.
• Identify changes in patient condition and coordinate with RRT.
• Document all plans and nursing actions.
• Educate patients and families using written materials and resources.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate nursing workflow.
• Calculate and administer medications.
