Job summary

St. Vincent's Medical Center, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour day/evening rotating position in Bridgeport.

The role includes providing direct care per policies, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and supporting discharge planning to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Connecticut RN license and BLS certification is required; ADN is acceptable with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; communicates patient status.
• Acts as primary coordinator of well‑coordinated patient care across disciplines.
• Follows physician and nursing orders and coordinates discharge planning needs.
• Assesses patients’ needs to provide individualized care; plans care with the care team.
• Delegates care to nursing staff to meet patient needs and optimize performance.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds and provides input for outcomes.
