Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Stepdown unit. The role offers a Day Shift, Full-Time schedule totaling 36 hours per week, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating with other departments, and protecting patient rights and confidentiality. Strong MO RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:

• Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:

• Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:Required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Physical RequirementsAbility to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
