Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Stepdown unit. You will apply the nursing process to deliver patient care, coordinate with other departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.

This full-time position emphasizes accountability for care and collaboration with Mercy Service Standards. The role supports a 36-hour work week on day shift, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs and a comprehensive benefits package

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Stepdown

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Day Shift | Full-Time | 36 hours/week

$20,000 Sign On Bonus for Experienced RN's!

Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
